Privacy Policy

1. Information you give us
Players and applicants. When you apply to the tournament or register for the qualifier, we collect your name, date of birth, email address, mobile number, mailing address, shirt size, and golf background — including your home club, college or university team if applicable, recent playing experience, tournament results, world ranking or golf ID, and the exemption category you are claiming. We also collect anything you type into a notes, housing, or contact field.
Sponsors. When you purchase or apply for a sponsorship, we collect your company name, contact name, email address, phone number, company logo, website address, and the names of any players you enter under your sponsorship.
Anyone who contacts us. If you use the contact form, we collect what you send us and the address you send it from.
2. Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers and banking details are entered on Stripe's secure checkout and are never sent to or stored on our servers. We keep a record of the amount, the date, the payment status, the payment method, and a Stripe reference number so that we can confirm your entry, reconcile our accounts, and issue refunds when they are due.
3. Information collected automatically
Our hosting and security providers record standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited. We use this to keep the site running and to protect it from abuse. We do not use advertising trackers and we do not build advertising profiles.
4. How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- review your application and run the selection committee's process;
- send invitations, secure payment links, deadline reminders, and confirmations;
- run the qualifier, including the waitlist and advancement into the field;
- publish the tournament field, pairings, and results;
- manage sponsorships and deliver the benefits attached to them;
- process payments and refunds and keep accounting records;
- answer your questions and provide support;
- keep historical tournament records and administer future eligibility.
5. Email and text messages
We contact applicants, players, and sponsors by email and, where you have given us a mobile number, by text message, about your application, registration, payment, or sponsorship. General announcements and marketing emails include an unsubscribe link. To stop text messages, reply STOP to any message; reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Transactional messages — such as your invitation, your payment link, and your entry confirmation — are part of running the tournament, and you may still receive them after unsubscribing from announcements.
6. What we publish
Parts of this site are public. The field list, pairings, tee times, scoring, results, and history pages may show a player's name, city and state, club or college affiliation, exemption category, and finishing position. Sponsor company names, logos, and website links appear on the sponsors page and in tournament materials.
We do not publish contact information, dates of birth, mailing addresses, payment details, application notes, or committee scoring.
8. How long we keep it
Application, entry, payment, and results records are kept indefinitely. The tournament's history and its future eligibility decisions depend on them. You may ask us to delete information that is not required for those purposes.
9. Your choices
You may ask us to see the information we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, or delete information we do not need to keep. You may unsubscribe from announcement emails at any time, and stop text messages by replying STOP. To make any of these requests, use the Contact Us page on this site. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
10. Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Junior players may be eligible to compete; if an applicant is under 18, a parent or legal guardian should review this policy and complete the application on the applicant's behalf.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. Payment links are unique to a single invited player and expire. Administrative access is limited by role, and sensitive actions such as refunds are restricted and logged. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Where your information is held
Our providers store and process information in the United States. If you are accessing this site from outside the United States, you are sending your information to the United States.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will post the revised version here and change the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be noted on the site.
15. Contact us
Questions about this policy, or about the information we hold, can be sent through the Contact Us page on this site.
